Navarro, you couldn't merge the profiles because the proposed merge had not yet been approved. Anyway, we needed to correct the LNAB before doing the merge.

Went through a lot of records and found nothing new on Lysbeth/Elizabeth - van Imburg is the name we need - match is confirmed and ready for this merge

(Van_Imbroch-1 into this profile) not sure why it would not go for me this morning

PS: And yes this always was/is a problem eeh, but the problem now is that it's often impossible or very hard to have all these early records and sources found and added to the profiles before the merges to be able to determine the correct LNAB.

In the past we worked with the 'for now' PPP profiles, it perhaps wasn't perfect, but it at least made it possible to get all duplicates merged and only when we had records for it, we would correct the LNAB.

Why it is so frustrating for members now I think is because the merge process always has to be done from the top down, so if the older generations are duplicated as well they need to be merged first, if finding and adding sources to determine the LNAB takes us a lot of time, all merges for the next generation(s) also are on hold...

So although it's great to want to find and add sources and correct LNAB before merges, I don't think it works really well with the amount of duplicates the NNS always was/is(?) dealing with.

Hi I did check the Baptismal and Marriage Registers of the Old Dutch Church of Kingston, Ulster County, New York, 1660-1809, and added some of the records that still were missing to the profiles of her parents, these records start from 1660 and there's no Baptism of Elisabeth ( or Lijsbet).

Als checked this longisland genealogy and Olive Tree for the New Amsterdam Baptisms from 1639-1730.

No Baptism record there either, so van Imburg for LNAB I think is fine, with van Imbroeck (the earlier version the parents used) added to the other last name field ?

Since she was born before the Kingston (also Albany) Church Records were started, if her baptism was recorded, it only could have been recorded in New Amsterdam. Have the New York (New Amsterdam) baptism records been checked to see if she's there? If not, then her LNAB should be van Imburg, based on her marriage record.

PS - This is one of those merge situations where New Netherland often sets both profiles as PPP in order to ensure that the merge doesn't happen until the LNAB is determined, but all too often the people who are interested in merging the profile don't ever do the research -- and the project gets emails complaining that the merge is hung up due to the PPP situation. I know that I could go look in the records, but I hope that interested descendants will do that...

Hi the parents are merged now so these can be merged also, but before the merge her LNAB needs to be corrected.

According the earliest record added here, (the marriage in 1683) it was van Imburg or should we first try if we can find and add her Birth/Baptism record ?

Greets from the Netherlands and thanks for the wonderful work you do Navarro :)

Van Imbroch-1 and VanAmburg-1 appear to represent the same person because: same dates - parents and names

mother merged - father has proposed merge today also
